LAMDA is a collaboration among Louisiana State University (LSU), Louisiana Tech
University (LaTech), Southern University in Baton Rouge (SUBR), Tulane University (TU), and University of
Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL).
LSU is the flagship campus of the Louisiana State University System and is the only public university in the
State classified as a Carnegie Research University with Very High Activity. Tulane University is a Private
(not-for-profit) 4 or more years school located in New Orleans, LA. It is the only private university in the
State classified as a Carnegie Research University with Very High Activity. La Tech and ULL occupy the
next tier of the Carnegie classification, namely, Research University with High Activity. SUBR is the flagship
institution of the Southern University System, the largest Historically Black Colleges and University (HBCU)
system in the United States.
